Janelle brings senior level experience in housing policy, Indigenous community planning, and engagement to projects at CitySpaces. She is active in the planning profession with various publications in peer-reviewed journals, and speaking engagements across Canada and internationally on the topics of housing, homelessness, neighbourhood development, and creating livable communities.

Janelle has been centrally involved in community planning, housing research, and policy in northern and rural communities for several years in her roles with the City of Yellowknife, Housing Northwest Territories, and Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation. Her broad range of skills offer value to our clients including analysis, policy review, community engagement, and government-to-government relationship-building including Indigenous governments. Janelle creates trusting relationships with community members and enjoys facilitating meaningful engagement processes.
