Quesnel OCP and Zoning Bylaw

CitySpaces is currently leading the process to update the City of Quesnel’s Official Community Plan, addressing local land use issues including population decline and demographic changes, housing needs, financial sustainability, and climate change. Technical discussion papers, research, and community consultation have been undertaken as part of this project. Development permit area guidelines are being updated, and new ones are being created for commercial revitalization areas and wildfire interface. Select sections of the Zoning Bylaw are being updated to align with new OCP policies, including urban agriculture, siting and regulation of marijuana dispensaries, coach house and laneway house regulations, micro-brewery and craft industry uses, and new zones.
