Covenant House – Phase 1

Covenant House Vancouver has been serving homeless youth in Vancouver at 575 Drake Street since 1997. As the City has grown so has the need for services for youth. The Covenant House (CHV) is constructing two purposely designed buildings at the intersection of Drake and Seymour Streets for residential and support services, including recreational, educational and health & wellness spaces.

The first building comprising of Phase 1 (now complete), is a 21,000 sq ft, five-storey building located at 1302 Seymour Street.

Phase 2 located at 1280 Seymour will include the redevelopment of the existing location of CHV at 575 Drake Street with a ten-storey, 54,000 sq ft building with education and training spaces, counselling rooms, fitness facilities and bedrooms for 75 young people.

This phase is expected to commence in late 2019. Both new buildings have been designed to be safe and welcoming places.

The final step of this expansion will include fully renovating existing space at 326 West Pender Street.
