Peachland Seniors Affordable Rental Housing
Built for the Peachland Seniors Support Society, CitySpaces provided development consulting services for the seniors housing project, located in Peachland, BC. This project is a 74-unit seniors rental apartment building, overlooking Lake Okanagan. The provincial government provided a $6 million grant as well as financing for the $15 million project, with the District of Peachland providing land equity and municipal fee waivers.
Peachland Seniors Housing Project Features:
- 5 levels of wood frame construction.
- 5 H/C accessible units, 62 one-bedroom units, 12 two-bedroom units.
- Large amenity space on the main level.
- 800 sq/ft detached shed for bikes, scooters, and yard maintenance storage.
- Common area sunrooms located on L4 and L5 overlooking Lake Okanagan.
Acting as the Owner’s representative for the Peachland Seniors Support Society, CitySpaces coordinated the selection process for the Design Team and the Construction Manager and undertook a lead role in the final stages of securing provincial funding for the seniors housing project. CitySpaces continued to act as Project Managers as the project moved through the process of design development; approvals from the District of Peachland, tendering and construction.
