Rose Manor Supportive Housing, Victoria

Spanning three centuries, Rose Manor has served its entire life as a home for the elderly. When BC Housing became its owner, a transition plan was developed to transform Rose Manor into a supportive housing facility. The seven-year project was coordinated by CitySpaces as Project Manager, and the building was fully operational throughout this period. Many original design elements were restored, and Rose Manor is an excellent example of how a physically obsolete building can be upgraded to meet modern requirements. It also illustrates the power of partnerships between governments and the community.
